I'm Andrew Buxton, I'm a photographer based in Hertfordshire, England. Why am I here? Well, I love taking pictures! I've been capturing images since I was very young and I still stand in awe at those special images that "catch a moment".

At this time I am a semi-professional photographer. That is to say, I have the knowledge, the equipment and many years of picture taking experience, but I'm yet to give up the day job! The good news is that you get to benefit from my semi-professional status and prices.

Photographically speaking these are exciting times for all of us. People are now able to purchase point and click compact cameras that produce high resolution snaps and are able to share those images with friends and family everywhere. I often use my own camera phone to picture things of interest and post them on twitter, because we all like that sense of community and fun.

Professionally produced portraits differ from everyday snaps in that they are cherished keepsakes that stand the test of time, you only have to look at your own collection of old photographs to see very old studio portraits of family from the distant past, amazing aren't they?
